Doug Knox is the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Edible Brands, where he oversees all aspects of the company’s legal affairs and franchise compliance. He joined Edible in May 2023, bringing with him nearly two decades of experience in private practice specializing in franchise law and dispute resolution.
Before Edible, Doug built his career at two leading franchise law firms—DLA Piper US LLP and Quarles & Brady LLP—where he advised clients on complex legal matters and represented franchisors in high-stakes disputes. His expertise and dedication to the field have made him a frequent lecturer on franchise law and a recognized thought leader within the industry.
Doug has earned distinction from his peers for his exceptional ethical standards, having been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell for the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
He attended the University of Florida, earning a B.A. with High Honors in English and a J.D. with High Honors. While in law school, Doug served as President of the Moot Court Board and graduated Order of the Coif.
